During the 3 days of National Day holiday (August 30 - September 1), the Traffic Police (CSGT) of Cao Bang Provincial Police mobilized 100% of their forces, increasing patrols on key routes.
As a result, the authorities detected and handled 162 cases of traffic safety violations.
Accordingly, the Traffic Police Department deployed 58 patrols with 288 officers and soldiers participating.
Through inspection, the authorities recorded 162 violations, imposed a total administrative fine of 556 million VND; temporarily detained 53 vehicles, revoked 3 cases, and deducted driving license points for 23 cases.
The main violations were having alcohol concentration in the breath (25 cases), 52 cases exceeding the speed limit, 9 cases of carrying oversized and overloaded goods.
During this time, the whole province had 2 traffic accidents in Dinh Phong and Phuc Hoa communes, causing 1 death and 1 injury.
In addition to handling violations, the traffic police also step up propaganda and coordination with local police in major tourist areas and spots to organize safe and smooth traffic, while promptly supporting and resolving situations arising on the road.
