On April 29, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced that the " branded goods promotion" program was held for the second time in Vung Tau city with many new points.
Taking place from April 30 to May 1, the event attracted more than 150 participating booths, gathering international and domestic high-end brands. This year, there will be 8 booths displaying typical OCOP products of Ba Ria - Vung Tau to introduce high-quality products to visitors.
"Last year, the program attracted about 40,000 visitors, with revenue of more than 8 billion VND, bringing good effects. This year, the scale of the program is expected to be larger, attracting about 60,000 shoppers, with a revenue of more than 12 billion VND", said the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade.
According to the Organizing Committee, 61% of brands are domestic, 31% are international and 8% are mixed. Of which, 50% are clothing and footwear products; the remaining 50% are accessories, cosmetics, and household items.
Some products are only discounted by 10%, but many products are discounted by up to 80% (mainly shoe and sports brands...).
Consumers can also participate in lucky draws and additional discounts of up to VND 100,000 when paying via VNPay.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program aims to promote consumption, support businesses to promote their brands, and also create opportunities for people to access high-quality products at preferential prices.
In the coming time, the unit is oriented to organize the program 1-2 times a year, with an increasingly large scale and increasingly improved quality; Aiming to turn " branded goods promotion" into a commercial event combined with tourism, contributing to promoting local economic growth; affirming the position of Ba Ria - Vung Tau as a high-quality economic and tourism center of the region.
"During the event, the Provincial People's Committee has directed functional units to inspect and supervise the quality of goods purchased and sold. At the same time, carefully review participating units, ensure that there is a chain of stores selling goods and commit to ensuring product quality," informed the representative of the Organizing Committee.
