The People's Court of Chi Linh City (Hai Duong Province) opened a public trial of the case of Doan Van Hung and Luong Van Tho, who were prosecuted for organizing illegal use of drugs according to the provisions of Clause 1 and Point h, Clause 2, Article 255 of the Penal Code.
On the morning of December 15, 2024, Luong Van Tho and Doan Van Hung, both residing in Nhan Hung residential area, Chi Minh ward, Chi Linh city (Hai Duong province), both defendants had previous convictions for illegal drug trafficking and possession that had not been cleared of their criminal records and invited each other to contribute 100,000 VND to buy drugs for common use. Hung went to buy 200,000 VND worth of Heroin from an unknown man and then brought it home to hide.
At around 5:00 p.m. on December 16, 2024, at Hung's residence in Nhan Hung residential area (Chi Minh ward, Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province), Hung prepared a location, silver foil, and lighters while Tho prepared a cylinder and distillation water for both of them to use the Heroin Hung package they bought on the morning of December 15, 2024.
After both of them used drugs, Chi Linh City Police coordinated with Chi Minh Ward Police to invite Hung and Tho to the Chi Minh Ward Police headquarters for questioning.
During the work, Hung and Tho confessed to all of their crimes.
Based on the content of the case, based on the documents in the case file that were examined, questioned, and debated at the trial, after deliberation, the Trial Council sentenced defendant Luong Van Tho to 28 months in prison and defendant Doan Van Hung to 7 years and 3 months in prison.
