On April 2nd, Gia Lai province requested regular reports on the progress of transportation projects using centrally supported capital in the western communes of the province. This is a group of projects of important significance in completing infrastructure and promoting socio-economic development in the still difficult region.
Provincial leaders emphasized that disbursement of public investment is a key task, which has been directed and urged many times by the Provincial People's Committee. However, in the past time, some units and localities have implemented it slowly, and the disbursement progress has not met the set requirements, affecting the efficiency of capital use and the overall progress of projects.
To overcome this situation, the Provincial People's Committee requests relevant units and localities to urgently remove all obstacles, especially in site clearance and construction organization.
The goal is to accelerate progress, ensure the completion of all projects and disburse 100% of the capital plan no later than 2026.
Investors must be fully responsible for the implementation progress and disbursement results. In case of failure to complete according to the plan, they will be considered for strict handling according to regulations. At the same time, it is necessary to review the capacity of contractors; if there is no site clearance but construction is slow or prolonged, resolutely handle it, and even transfer the volume to another unit with sufficient capacity.
For localities that do not have project management boards or have limited capacity, the Provincial People's Committee allows hiring a consulting unit with sufficient capacity to implement, but still has to be primarily responsible for the progress.
At the same time, encourage learning from the experiences of localities that do well in site clearance, especially areas where the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway project passes through.
Regarding specific progress, the Mang Yang - Ia Pa inter-district road project (old) strives to be completed in April 2026. The road from Pleiku city to Dak Doa center is expected to complete the roadbed in June 2026 and complete the entire project in November 2026.
Regarding the Ia Pa inter-commune road project, the locality needs to urgently complete the adjustment dossier before March 30, 2026 to implement the next steps.
