On May 27, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that it had issued a decision to establish Nghe An - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum on the basis of merging Nghe An Museum and Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum.
According to the decision, Nghe An - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum is a public service unit under the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province. The museum has the function of researching, collecting, inventorying, displaying and educating local historical and cultural traditions, especially the Xo Viet Nghe Tinh movement - one of the important revolutionary marks of the country.
The museum is also allowed to organize service activities according to regulations, while applying digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in presenting, interacting and introducing artifacts to enhance the experience for visitors.
The museum is located at No. 7 and No. 10 Dao Tan Street, Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City. Currently, the unit has a total of 37 civil servants receiving salaries from the state budget.
Nghe An - Xo Viet Nghe Tinh Museum has legal status, its own seal and account; is under the direct management of the Nghe An Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, and is subject to professional guidance from the Ministry of Culture - Sports and Tourism.
The merger of the two leading museums is expected to enhance the value of preserving the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Nghe An, while widely spreading the spirit of patriotism and revolutionary tradition to today's generations.
