Nghe An - Departments, branches and localities strengthen control and strictly handle violations to ensure traffic safety and order during the April 30 - May 1 holiday.

On April 25, information from Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that it had just issued Official Dispatch No. 10/CD-UBND requesting functional forces to synchronously deploy solutions to ensure traffic order and safety throughout the province during the holidays and peak tourist season. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee clearly directed: not to let serious traffic accidents or prolonged congestion occur, especially at intersections with highways, tourist areas, and steep mountain roads.

The Provincial Police are assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to organize patrols and control road, rail and waterway traffic. The focus is on strictly handling violations that are the main causes of accidents such as speeding, using alcohol while driving, not wearing a helmet, gathering to race illegally...

At the same time, develop a reasonable traffic diversion plan at traffic hotspots, ensuring smoothness on national highways, gateways to Vinh city, and routes connecting to tourist areas.

The Department of Construction is required to strictly inspect the listing of ticket prices and vehicle safety at bus stations, terminals, ferry terminals, and airports. Construction units on the routes under operation must ensure clear traffic flow, handle unfinished road connection points, and avoid accidents and congestion.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned Road Management Area II to coordinate with localities to review and renovate the traffic signal system on National Highway 1, National Highway 7, National Highway 46, Ho Chi Minh Road and intersections with the North - South Expressway (Nghi Son - Dien Chau and Dien Chau - Bai Vot sections).

The Department of Health is directed to increase forces, medicine, and ambulances to be ready to respond to accident situations. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with localities to ensure safe means and accommodation for tourists. The Department of Education and Training requires parents to strictly manage their children during the summer vacation, not allowing students to drive motorbikes when they are not qualified.

Localities must announce hotline phone numbers to receive people's feedback on traffic, and organize 24/7 on-duty to promptly resolve arising incidents. The Fatherland Front, mass organizations, and local newspapers are recommended to step up propaganda on laws and skills to participate in safe traffic.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee to monitor, inspect, and urge the implementation of the telegram, aiming to ensure absolute safety and convenience for people during the long holiday season and tourist season in 2025.
