Faced with the increasing risk of forest fires in the dry season, on the morning of April 8, Nghia Lo ward, Lao Cai province organized patrol and control forces, and at the same time reviewed and planted warning signs in high-risk areas to improve the effectiveness of forest fire prevention and fighting in the area.
According to Nghia Lo Ward People's Committee, patrol activities are deployed synchronously with the participation of functional forces and forest protection teams at the grassroots level.

Key points and forest areas prone to fire are thoroughly inspected, combined with propaganda and reminding people to raise awareness in using fire, especially in agricultural and forestry production.
Nghia Lo ward currently has more than 979 hectares of forest, of which natural forest accounts for over 114 hectares, planted forest nearly 870 hectares, and the coverage rate reaches nearly 33%.
Identifying forest protection work associated with sustainable economic development, right from the beginning of 2026, the locality has actively implemented the afforestation plan, reaching 24.6 ha in the first quarter, equivalent to 49.2% of the assigned plan.
In parallel with that, local authorities maintain close coordination with the Nghia Lo area forest rangers to closely monitor the developments of forest resources.
Forest management and protection work is strengthened through urging forest owners to strictly implement regulations, and at the same time guiding the exploitation of forest products according to procedures, minimizing negative impacts on the forest environment.

During the peak period, functional forces directly went to the grassroots level to propagate and disseminate regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting to each household, forest owner, organization, and related individual.
Inspection and maintenance of vehicles and equipment serving firefighting are also carried out regularly to ensure readiness to respond when situations occur.
Notably, the control of fire use among the people has been tightened, especially in areas bordering forests.
Forces maintain a duty regime, continuously patrol, promptly detect and handle early potential risks that may lead to forest fires.
With the synchronous implementation of many solutions from propaganda, patrols to preparing forces and vehicles, Nghia Lo ward is gradually raising community awareness in forest protection, while proactively preventing and minimizing damage caused by forest fires.
These efforts not only contribute to maintaining existing forest areas but also create a foundation for sustainable forestry economic development, associated with protecting the local ecological environment.
