On April 5, Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van - Chairwoman of the Member Council, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest State-Owned Co., Ltd. (Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company) said that the unit had just organized a Council to accept the document "Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest, 700 years of construction, transmission and development".

This is a large-scale research project on a unique traditional craft associated with the sea and islands.
The acceptance council includes 9 members who are professors, doctors specializing in culture and history, scientists, university lecturers and representatives of management agencies. The Council is chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ha Minh Hong - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Historical Society.

According to the Editorial Board, the document is built to systematize the unique values, intangible knowledge and cultural identity of the bird's nest profession, serving research, education and preservation for future generations.
The project consists of 2 parts, in which the main content is divided into 5 chapters, comprehensively recording the formation, preservation, transmission and development of the bird's nest profession in Khanh Hoa. This is also one of the few localities with unique natural conditions with a system of island caves favorable for swallows to grow.

At the working session, the Council highly appreciated the scientific quality and practical significance of the project. The document was commented to be elaborately compiled, structured tightly, and with in-depth content.
The document contributes to supplementing the gap in historical research on the bird's nest profession, a field that has existed for a long time but has not been fully recorded.
The Council unanimously approved 100% of the publication of the document. This is considered the first project in Vietnam to conduct relatively comprehensive research on bird's nest farming at the local level.

According to Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van, recording, preserving and summarizing historical values and intangible knowledge plays a key role in the process of industry development. The project not only serves heritage preservation but also contributes to enhancing the brand value of bird's nests in the domestic and international markets.
Over nearly 700 years of formation and development, Khanh Hoa bird's nest profession is not only an economic activity but also a "living heritage", crystallizing natural conditions, traditional knowledge and labor experience through many generations.
It is expected that after completion, the document will be published, becoming a source of valuable scientific, cultural and practical documents; and also an important milestone in the sustainable development journey of Vietnam's bird's nest profession.
