On December 31, social media shared a clip of a car driver holding an iron rod and hitting a young man on the head twice. The incident was determined to have occurred around 9am on December 30, on Pham Van Dong Street, Linh Tay Ward, Thu Duc City.
According to Mr. T.H.T (26 years old, living in Binh Duong province - the person who was beaten), on December 30, he and a friend rode a motorbike from Binh Duong province to Ho Chi Minh City. At that time, Mr. T's friend was driving and he was sitting in the back.
While traveling on National Highway 1K, at the intersection between Di An City and Thu Duc City, a car traveling in the same direction honked loudly. Angry, Mr. T used his phone to record it.

Then, when approaching the intersection of Pham Van Dong - To Ngoc Van, Linh Tay ward, the car driver chased after Mr. T and asked him to stop. The two sides exchanged words, the male car driver got out of the car, holding an iron rod, and rushed to hit Mr. T twice on the head.
"Luckily I was wearing a helmet so I wasn't injured. But the driver's behavior scared me," Mr. T shared.
Immediately afterwards, Mr. T reported the incident to the police. On the same day, Linh Tay Ward Police took the male driver to the police station for questioning.
Currently, Thu Duc City authorities are continuing to verify and handle the case.
