Soil moisture models show that some areas in the above two provinces are nearly saturated (over 85%) or have reached a saturated state.
According to forecasts, in the next 3-6 hours, the areas of Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces will continue to have rain with accumulated rainfall ranging from 30-50mm, in some places over 80mm.
In the next 6 hours, there is a risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes in some areas such as Dong Xuan, Song Hinh, Tay Hoa districts, Dong Hoa town (Phu Yen) and Khanh Son, Khanh Vinh, Van Ninh districts, Cam Ranh city, Ninh Hoa town (Khanh Hoa).
