On the evening of May 4, information from the Luc Yen District Medical Center said that the unit is treating a 77-year-old woman who was bitten by a herd of dogs, causing many serious injuries all over her body.
Late afternoon on May 3, Luc Yen District Medical Center received patient H.T.R (77 years old, residing in Ban Chang village, Truc Lau commune, Luc Yen district, Yen Bai province), with more than 10 wounds on his body.
Ms. R stated that she was hospitalized after being bitten by a herd of dogs. After being discovered by local people and taken to the emergency room, Ms. R's body had many large and small wounds.
Here, through examination, it was determined that Ms. R had multiple injuries including: The face in the lower lip had a 2cm long, 0.5cm deep wound bleeding. The face of the right arm has 2 dog bites 1cm apart, 1 12cm long, 3cm deep; 1 8cm long, 5cm deep bleeding stain. There are many scratches and blood scratches around the 2 spots.
On the front of the right leg of the leg, there are many dog teeth with blood scratches. The upper third of the left forearm had a 4cm long, 2cm deep wound bleeding. Outside the left arm, there are many dog toothbrushes with blood scratches.
The left knee had a 5cm long, 0.5cm deep wound bleeding. The outer third of the left leg of the victim's face had a 6cm long, 2cm deep wound bleeding. The back has many dog tooth points with blood scratches and scratches.
After receiving the treatment, doctors and staff on duty in the Surgery Department - Luc Yen District Medical Center's specialized department quickly treated the wounds, antibiotics, and relieved the pain. After nearly 4 hours, the wounds were treated and a drug administration for anti-rabies serum and anti-rabies vaccine was prescribed.
Currently, the patient is being treated and cared for at the Department of Surgery - Interdisciplinary, provincial patients, still pained in the wound, the wound did not bleed, had little ice permeation, and was in stable health.
At the same time, in the area of group 4, Minh Tan ward, Yen Bai city, there was also a case of a child being attacked by a herd of dogs. After the discovery, the child was taken for examination and vaccination. Her health is currently being monitored.
