Storm No. 3 could reduce GDP in 2024 by 0.15%
Statistics from the Ministry of Planning and Investment show that the damage caused by the storm is about 40 trillion VND, an estimated decrease of about 0.15% of GDP in 2024. In particular, the country's GDP growth in the third quarter is forecast to decrease by 0.35%, and in the fourth quarter by 0.22% compared to the scenario without storm No. 3.
The whole year's GDP is estimated to decrease by 0.15% compared to the scenario of estimated growth of 6.8-7%, of which the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector will decrease by 0.33%, industry and construction will decrease by 0.05% and services will decrease by 0.22%.

Train continues to derail when passing through Thua Thien Hue
At around 1:00 p.m. on September 15, at km751+620 in the Lang Co - Thua Luu section (Thua Thien Hue), train SE6 (14 cars, 1 locomotive) driven by driver Nguyen Van Khiem derailed.
Accordingly, the train was moving from North to South at the railway section km751+620 when one carriage derailed, the train wheel derailed from the rails (number AN11449 - carriage 6), causing a blockage of the North-South railway line.
The train was carrying a total of 252 passengers at the time of the incident. All passengers have now been evacuated.
