Number of international flights exceeds peak, Phu Quoc tourism booms during Tet
According to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism, since the New Year holiday, Phu Quoc has continuously welcomed many international flights and large cruise ships docking at the port. The number of international visitors has skyrocketed and broken the record during the Lunar New Year 2025.
Accordingly, on January 27 (December 28), the number of international flights continued to exceed the peak, reaching 40 flights. The number of flights from Taiwan (China) topped with 10 flights, South Korea 9 flights, the rest were flights from China, Kazakhstan, Poland, Mongolia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore. Airlines operated flights to Phu Quoc in the form of regular and charter flights.
According to Phu Quoc International Airport, the Pearl Island has a record of welcoming 38-40 international flights per day. International visitors account for 75% of visitors to the island during the Lunar New Year.

At Ben Binh Dong flower market (District 8), the number of visitors coming to see and buy flowers is crowded. Mr. Ngo Van Tai (living in District 8) shared: "2 days ago, I came to this flower market to buy an apricot tree for about 500,000 VND to celebrate Tet. The flowers are quite cheap and beautiful, so today I came back to see if there are any strange flowers to buy more."
