According to the People's Committee of Yen Chau district, Son La, the traffic accident occurred at 11:22, at Km 235 + 100 National Highway 6 in Ban Thin, Sup Vat commune. At that time, a passenger car with license plate 26F - 009.08 driven by Mr. Nguyen Dinh H (born in 1983, residing in Village 1, Phu Luu Te Commune, My Duc District, Hanoi) traveling from Son La to Hanoi collided with a tractor-trailer with license plate 36C - 095.93 pulling a semi-trailer with license plate 36R - 004.73 driven by Mr. Do Xuan T (born in 1986, residing in Xuan Mai Apartment, Dong Hai Ward, Thanh Hoa City, Thanh Hoa Province) traveling in the opposite direction.
As a result, the accident killed 6 people, injured 9 people, and damaged 2 cars blocking the entire road. The breath alcohol test of the bus driver showed a result of 0.000mg/L of breath, negative for drugs. For drivers of tractor-trailers, urine testing results are negative for drugs; blood alcohol concentration awaits test results.

Workers dredging sludge under To Lich River
On February 22, dozens of workers dredged the sludge under the To Lich River to prepare to receive additional water from the Red River. Talking to Lao Dong, a worker at Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. said that the activity of collecting waste on the river and dredging mud has been carried out for about 4 days now. This is to prepare for the drainage plan for the 2025 rainy season.

Previously, the Office of the Hanoi People's Committee announced the conclusion of Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh on the plan to renovate and beautify the To Lich River before implementing the plan to replenish the Red River to clean the water of the To Lich River. In particular, the Chairman of the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with Hanoi Drainage One Member Co., Ltd. to immediately dredge the entire To Lich River in districts and towns where the river passes through, basically to be completed in August 2025.
