On July 7, the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYTU) of Vinh Long province held a solemn session of the 1st Congress of Delegates of the VYTU of the province, term 2026 - 2029. The Congress assessed the results of the Union's work and youth movement in the 2024 - 2026 period, and at the same time identified goals and tasks in the new term.
Reports at the Congress said that after the merger of three provinces Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh, the Association organization continued to be consolidated and expanded to unite youth with more than 104,000 members operating in 124 communes, wards and 2 schools.
In the period 2024 - 2026, the movement "I love my Fatherland" was widely deployed. Association levels introduced jobs for 8,590 young people, and at the same time supported the realization of 52 startup ideas and projects.
The work of building the Association organization achieved many results with 29,183 new members admitted, raising the total number of members to 104,784 people; many Association models in businesses, religious establishments and ethnic minority youth continue to be developed.
In the 2026 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Youth Federation of Vinh Long province continues to build a strong Union organization, accompanying youth in learning, starting businesses, digital transformation, promoting the spirit of pioneering and creativity, contributing to the sustainable development of the homeland.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation - assessed that Vinh Long is entering a new stage of development with many opportunities, opening up space for young people to promote the spirit of pioneering, creativity and dedication.
According to Mr. Kim Quy, the Association organization needs to continue to strongly innovate its operating methods, taking digital transformation and innovation as motivation, creating an environment for young people to study, start businesses, contribute and grow.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy expressed his belief that the Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation of Vinh Long province, term I, will unite, be responsible, and promote the spirit of "Patriotism - Solidarity - Pioneering - Creative - Development", bringing the Union's work to develop more and more.
Speaking to direct the Congress, Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province - emphasized that youth are the pioneering and core force to bring the homeland into a new stage of development, especially in digital transformation, innovation and international integration.
According to Mr. Thai, the Associations at all levels need to put the work of educating revolutionary ideals, morality, lifestyle and aspirations for dedication at the center; build a class of young people with bravery, knowledge, digital skills, daring to think, daring to do and daring to take responsibility.
Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai proposed that the Association continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, expand solidarity, gather young people, create an environment for young people to start businesses, be creative, and contribute; contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals of Vinh Long province.
The Congress consulted and elected 55 brothers and sisters to participate in the Vinh Long Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation Committee, term I, term 2026 - 2029. At the first meeting, the Committee consulted and elected 17 brothers and sisters to participate in the Secretariat; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nha - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union - was appointed Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation.
