On July 3, at Long Chau Square, the Steering Committee for Volunteer Programs and Campaigns of Vinh Long province organized the launching ceremony of the peak of the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. Attending the ceremony was Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi said that through many years of implementation, the campaign has created a widespread impact, attracting a large number of union members and youth to participate and receiving the companionship of the entire political system and the whole society.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested Youth Union and Association levels to closely follow the socio-economic development tasks of the locality, choose the right content and areas, focus on building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, protecting the environment, adapting to climate change and ensuring social security.
According to Vinh Long Provincial Youth Union, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign takes place from May to the end of August 2026, peaking in July. To date, 25 units inside and outside the province have connected to support 22 communes and wards with more than 5,500 volunteer soldiers participating. At the launching ceremony, organizations, businesses and philanthropists donated more than 6 billion VND to implement youth projects.
Immediately after the ceremony, Vinh Long youth simultaneously carried out many tasks such as guiding people to use online public services, integrating VNeID, eliminating environmental black spots, visiting Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, awarding study corners, scholarships and starting construction, handing over many social security projects in the province.
