According to Vu Quang District Police, during the monitoring process, police discovered that Facebook account "Xi Phuong" frequently posted content and images related to fireworks on groups.
Through propaganda and mobilization, on December 10, Mr. L.T.Q (residing in Duc Giang commune, Vu Quang district) handed over 6 boxes of explosive fireworks, 49 pieces, total weight 9 kg. Through investigation, Mr. Q confessed to buying explosive fireworks from the Telegram account "Pro Poker".
After investigation, on December 16, Vu Quang District Police coordinated with the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Ha Tinh Provincial Police to arrest Pham Viet Nhat (born in 1989, residing in Dinh Quan town, Dinh Quan district, Dong Nai province) and Huynh Tan Tai (born in 2000, residing in Tan Thanh commune, Bu Dop district, Binh Phuoc province).

Evidence seized at the scene included: 150 49-tube explosive fireworks, 16 36-tube explosive fireworks, 20 9-tube explosive fireworks, 16 100-tube explosive fireworks, and 3 138-tube explosive fireworks.
The total weight of fireworks seized is estimated at nearly 400 kg, along with many other related exhibits.
Through investigation, the subjects confessed that from September 2024 until their arrest, they imported fireworks from Thailand to sell via social networks.
The transportation of goods was carried out by them through express delivery service, with more than 200 transactions made, the total volume of fireworks traded was more than 1 ton.
On December 23, Vu Quang District Police initiated a criminal case, prosecuted and temporarily detained Pham Viet Nhat and Huynh Tan Tai for trafficking in prohibited goods.
