On May 6, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that Thanh Phong Commune Police had just received a cu li individual voluntarily handed over by Mr. Ngan Van Thuan (born 1982, residing in Tan Phong village, Thanh Phong commune).

According to Mr. Thuan, during the movement in the Lang Lu village area, he discovered this culi individual. Realizing that this is a rare and precious wild animal, he proactively contacted and handed it over to the Commune Police.
Through initial inspection, the culi individual weighed about 0.8 kg. This is an endangered, precious, and rare forest animal belonging to Group IB according to the Government's regulations - a group of species strictly prohibited from exploitation, hunting, captivity, transportation and trade for commercial purposes.
After receiving it, Thanh Phong Commune Police handed over the cu li individual to Nhu Xuan Forest Protection Department for reception, care and conservation.
It is known that previously, also in Thanh Phong commune, Mr. Lo Van Thanh (born in 1984, residing in Lang Xam village), after discovering a pangolin weighing about 2 kg, voluntarily handed it over to Thanh Phong Commune Police.
