Rare turtle found lost in a house in Hue

    HUE - A resident in Huong Thuy ward discovered a rare turtle lost in his garden and reported it to the authorities.

    On October 9, the Hue City Forest Protection Department said that a resident of Luong Dong Residential Group, Huong Thuy Ward, discovered a rare turtle lost in his garden on October 3.

    Immediately after receiving the information, Huong Thuy Ward People's Committee coordinated with the Nam Song Huong Forest Protection Department and the Ward Police to receive the turtle.

    Through determination, this is a golden mountain turtle - a species belonging to group IIB according to Decree 84/2021/ND-CP, weighing 2.1kg, with normal health.

    After completing the dossier, the authorities coordinated with the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Creatures - Bach Ma National Park to release the turtle back to the natural forest environment, ensuring safety and suitability for the species' habitat.
