On November 29, Rach Gia Ward Police, An Giang Province, said that the unit is consolidating records and completing procedures to handle 8 subjects related to the act of illegally storing drugs.
The subjects include: Chau Huynh Thuan (born in 1999), Tran Van Khang (born in 2002), Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1976), Duong Tan Tho (born in 2002), all residing in Rach Gia ward; Truong Thanh Hoai (born in 1999), Duong Minh Thao (born in 2007), all residing in Vinh Thong ward; Luu Minh Tien (born in 2002), Le Dai Nhan (born in 1995), all residing in Thanh Loc commune.
According to Rach Gia Ward Police, through the work of grasping the situation and fighting drug crimes, the task force promptly detected a group of subjects with suspicious signs. After a quick inspection, the force seized many plastic bags containing crystals suspected to be drugs. All exhibits have been sealed and transferred for examination according to regulations.
Through investigation, the subjects admitted that it was drugs, which the group bought for use.
The case is currently being further investigated and clarified for handling according to the provisions of law.
