On November 22, the Provincial Defense Command of Region 5 - An Bien coordinated with the People's Court of Region 7 and the People's Procuracy of Region 7 and An Bien High School (An Giang) to organize a mock trial to propagate the Law on Drug Prevention and Control at An Bien High School.
The trial was attended by a large number of officials from agencies coordinating with teachers and students of An Bien High School and more than 200 people in An Bien commune.
The mock trial fully recreated the order of the trial steps for the crime of illegal drug trafficking. Thereby, propagating to students and the masses in the area the harmful effects of illegal drug trafficking, storage and use on themselves, their families and society.
After the trial, students were also asked about questions related to contents such as the 2015 Law on Military Service, some contents of military enrollment...
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Hoang Vu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Defense Command of Region 5 - An Bien, said: The organization of a mock trial is part of the plan to implement the Project "Promoting the role of the People's Army in participating in the dissemination and education of the law, mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level in the period of 2021 - 2027" of the Defense Command of Region 5 - An Bien.
The success of the mock trial is a motivation for the Party Committee and the An Bien Defense Command of Region 5 to continue to coordinate in organizing propaganda, dissemination and education activities on the law in the area, contributing to promoting the role of the armed forces of An Giang province in implementing the Project.
Ms. Huynh Thi Anh Thu, Secretary of the An Bien High School Youth Union, shared that she hopes that the authorities will continue to have practical activities to propagate, disseminate, educate, raise awareness and sense of law compliance, build a legal culture not only for An Bien High School. Thereby creating a good awareness for students, so that they can contribute their efforts to build their homeland and country.
