On July 10, Hung Yen Provincial Police said that through the work of grasping the situation in the area and from the people's sources, at about 0:05 on July 9, Viet Yen Commune Police (Hung Yen Province) conducted an inspection and discovered that at Nam Cuong Phone Shop (located in Me Ha Village, Viet Yen Commune) owned by Le Thi Yen (born in 1995, residing in Trieu Viet Vuong Commune, Hung Yen Province) there were 4 young men and women showing signs of suspected organization of illegal use of drugs.
The subjects include Le Thi Yen (homeowner), Nguyen Quang Manh (born in 1992, residing in Trieu Viet Vuong commune), Tran Van Kiem (born in 1993, residing in Viet Yen commune) and another subject named Tuan, nicknamed Bun (this subject ran away when he saw the police force coming to work).
The commune police force seized from the subjects a plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance, a plastic bag containing 2 red tablets, 1 plastic straw, 1 glass straw, 1 glass straw, 2 pieces of glass covered with black substance and many related evidences.
During the investigation, the subjects confessed to having bought drugs to Yen's house and then invited each other to use them together.
According to the police, they conducted an appraisal of white crystals and black sticks on the subjects' seized tools, resulting in drugs, Methamphetamine, with a total weight of 0.697g.
Currently, Viet Yen Commune Police are coordinating with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police to continue fighting, expanding the case, arresting related subjects, and consolidating records to handle the subjects according to regulations.
