On June 5, Lam Son Commune Police received information from Mr. Dao Vinh Huy (born in 1990, residing in Lam Quy village, Lam Son commune) about the discovery of a pangolin individual.
According to the presentation, while gardening in the area near the stream bank, Mr. Huy discovered this wild animal individual and reported it to the police.
After receiving information from people, Lam Son Commune Police coordinated with the Economic Department, local forest rangers and veterinary forces to receive and hand over pangolins.
Functional agencies then organized the release of the pangolin into the natural environment in the Ngoan Muc pass area, belonging to Lam Hoa village, Lam Son commune, Khanh Hoa province.
The release location is about 1km from the discovery site, in a dense forest area suitable for the living conditions of this animal.
Lam Son Commune Police recommends that people not use traps to hunt wild animals; not to buy, sell, or raise wild animals illegally. At the same time, actively propagate and mobilize relatives and friends to participate in protecting wild animals and the ecological environment.
