On February 5th, the Vinh Long Provincial Association for Promoting Education organized a program to present 600 Tet gifts to poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances and studious students in the province.
Attending the program were Mr. Luu Thanh Cong - Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Association for Promoting Education; Ms. Huynh Kim Nguyen - former Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Council and Ms. Huynh Kim Nhung - representative of the family of teacher Huynh Van Ta.
The gifts were presented in Tra On, Tra Con, Ngai Tu, Tam Binh, Song Phu, Cai Ngang communes, Tam Binh Secondary School and Phuoc Hau ward, with a total budget of 300 million VND sponsored by relatives of teacher Huynh Van Ta's family (Phuoc Hau ward, Vinh Long province).
Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Luu Thanh Cong said that although the gifts are not of great value, they show the kindness of the family of teacher Huynh Van Ta, contributing to sharing difficulties, helping people and students have more conditions to enjoy Spring and welcome a warm Tet.
This is an activity with humanistic meaning, maintained by teacher Huynh Van Ta's family for many years, contributing to the effective implementation of social security and education promotion, talent promotion in the locality every Tet holiday, Spring comes," Mr. Cong added.
