Previously, at 12:30 on July 23, 2025, in Zone 10, Bai Chay Ward, the Drug Crime Investigation Department coordinated with Viet Hung Ward Police and Bai Chay Ward Police to inspect and catch red-handed Le Duc Thang (born in 1994, residing in Group 3, Dai Yen 2 Area, Tuan Chau Ward, Quang Ninh Province) hiding 6 plastic straws containing crystal meth (0.675 grams of Methamphetamine) for sale.
Urgently searching Thang's residence, the authorities seized 5 more plastic straws containing crystal meth (0.535 grams Methamphetamine), 1 electronic scale and many related items.
From investigation documents, the police determined that Lam Duc Thang and his wife Nguyen Minh Anh had repeatedly bought crystal meth from Nguyen Minh Tien to bring from Hai Phong to Quang Ninh for consumption.
The Investigation Police Agency has investigated and detained 2 more subjects including: Nguyen Minh Anh (born in 1997, residing in Yen Sinh area, Binh Khe ward, Quang Ninh - wife of Lam Duc Thang); Nguyen Minh Tien (born in 1998, residing in Hai Phong city).
Urgently searching Nguyen Minh Tien's residence, the authorities discovered and seized a plastic bag along with many plastic straws containing crystal meth (6.042 grams of Methamphetamine), 1 electronic scale and many related exhibits.
The case is being further consolidated by the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ninh Province and handled according to the law.
