Sanofi cooperates with the pharmacy system and Long Chau vaccination center to pioneer the implementation of the project "Collection & Recycling of plastic from drug shelves for a green future".

With a common vision of sustainable development accompanied by environmental protection, Sanofi and the Long Chau pharmacy system proactively launched a project to collect and recycle plastic from drug shelves. The project aims to raise people's awareness about waste sorting at source, while collecting and providing plastic recycling solutions from used drug shelves, reducing the environmental burden from plastic waste.

This is a pioneering step in the pharmaceutical industry, for the first time the pharmacy system plays the role of a "green station", accompanying pharmaceutical manufacturers to promote a sustainable lifestyle.

In the pilot phase, the project is being implemented at 100 Long Chau pharmacies in Ho Chi Minh City, creating a premise for evaluating and expanding to other cities with large amounts of plastic waste. Vacuum cans are placed at pharmacies, and then handled by the project's professional partner.

The two units set a goal to soon replicate this model throughout the system of more than 2,400 Long Chau pharmacies in 34 provinces and cities in the future, so that people from all regions can easily participate, join hands to reduce plastic waste and sow more seeds of green happiness.
