These are the departments: Yen Tu National Park and Forest Management Board (Uong Bi City), Tran Dynasty Relic Site Management Board (Dong Trieu City) and Bach Dang Special National resources Management Board (Quang Yen Town).
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) of Quang Ninh province, this department has completed the project to merge the above 3 departments, expected to be named the Quang Ninh Province Scenic Landscape Board and is seeking opinions from departments, branches, sectors... before submitting to the Provincial People's Committee.
This new board will belong to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province.
Currently, the staff of the Yen Tu National Park and Forest Management Board is 60 people, while the Tran Dynasty Relic Site Management Board has 27 people and the Bach Dang Special National Monument Management Board has 11 people.
Bach Dang historical site is located in Quang Yen town and Uong Bi city, a place marking the event in which the Tran Dynasty and people achieved a resounding victory - the Bach Dang victory, defeating the Mong invasion in 1288, and was ranked as a special national monument in Decision No. 1419/QD-TTg, dated September 27, 2012.
The Yen Tu Historical and Scenic Landscape Site is associated with the name of Buddha Tran Nhan Tong (1258-1308) - the leader of the Tran Dynasty who defeated the Nguyen-Mong army twice, then gave up his throne, went to Yen Tu to practice, and founded the Truc Lam Zen sect - ranked as a special national relic in Decision No. 1419/QD-TTg, dated September 27, 2012.
The Tran Dynasty Historical Site in Dong Trieu consists of 14 relics with 22 relic sites, including temples, shrines, mausoleums, towers, pagodas and religious works associated with the history of the Tran Dynasty and Truc Lam Zen sect, ranked as a special national relic in Decision No. 2383/QD-TTg, dated December 9, 2013.

Previously, due to the arrangement and reorganization of the apparatus, including not organizing district-level government, Quang Ninh province had a policy to temporarily transfer the status quo of management boards of relic and scenic spots located in many communes and wards to specialized state management agencies.
Currently, in Quang Ninh province, there are a number of management boards of relic and scenic spots located in many communes and wards. Among them, there is the Management Board of Yen Tu National Monuments and Forests, under the People's Committee of Uong Bi City and the Management Board of Tran Dynasty Relic Site in Dong Trieu, under the People's Committee of Dong Trieu City and the Management Board of Bach Dang Special National Monument andcalendar, under the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town.
Quang Ninh has about 600 historical and cultural relics... including 8 special national relics, including: Van Don Port Trade Union (Van Don District), Tra Co Communal House (Mong Cai City), Ha Long Bay, Bach Dang Historical Site, Yen Tu Historical and Scenic Landscape Site, Nha Tran Relic Site Historical Site in Dong Trieu, Cua Ong Temple Historical Site and President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site on Co To Island.
However, Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Ninh province - said that the management boards of other relics will be assigned to commune-level administrative units - where the relics are located - to directly manage them.
In particular, the Ha Long Bay Management Board - a unit under the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province - still maintains the current status of the agency.
