Dong Da Ward Police in coordination with the Immigration Department of Hanoi City Police issued a decision to deport Berg Robin Grande, a Norwegian national, for destroying property and using marijuana in Vietnam.

At about 11:30 p.m. on September 12, 2025, Dong Da Ward Police received a report of a foreign man destroying property.

Berg Robin Grande used his hand to punch the glass behind the car of Ms. Vu Thanh N, residing in Dong Da ward, parked at a parking lot on Dang Van Ngu street (Dong Da, Hanoi).

At the police station, through an interpreter, Berg Robin Grande stated that on September 12, he traveled from Quang Binh to Hanoi to travel. When he arrived at Dang Van Ngu Street, seeing a gray Ford Focus car, he used his hand to punch the broken glass door on the left side and crawled into the car to find his mother, without taking any assets from the car.

Mr. Berg Robin Grande also admitted to previously using a banned substance, marijuana, after being invited by some unknown people, leading to hallucinations.

Rapid test results showed that Mr. Berg Robin Grande tested positive forTH (almond). The valuation conclusion determined that the broken glass door was worth VND 1,562,760.

Based on the documents, Dong Da Ward Police determined that Mr. Berg Robin Grande had committed the act of "destroying or intentionally damaging the property of individuals and organizations" under Point a, Clause 2 and Clause 3, Article 15 of Decree No. 144/2021/ND-CP dated December 31, 2021; and violated "illegal use of drugs" under Clause 1, Article 23 of Decree No. 144/2021/ND-CP dated December 31, 2021.
