On February 28, responding to reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Toi - Deputy Chief of Staff, Binh Thuan Provincial Police said that after 2 months of implementing Decree No. 168 of the Government (from January 1, 2025 to present), the situation of traffic order and safety in the province has changed very positively.

One of the most obvious evidences is that traffic accidents are well controlled and deeply reduced. During the above period, the whole province had 58 traffic accidents, killing 19 people and injuring 43 people.
Compared to the same period last year, there was a decrease of 37 cases (equivalent to a decrease of 39%), a decrease of 4 deaths (a decrease of 17%), and a decrease of 54 injuries (a decrease of 55%).

"However, the outstanding issue is still motorbikes violating speed, alcohol concentration, and obeying traffic lights. Recently, traffic accidents have decreased significantly, but in rural areas, inter-district and inter-commune traffic routes still have serious traffic accidents, so the police force will strengthen additional solutions," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Toi emphasized.

Also in 2 months of implementing Decree 168, the Traffic Police of Binh Thuan province discovered, recorded, and issued decisions to fine 8,071 violations, with a fine of more than 19.5 billion VND, temporarily detained 1,672 vehicles of all kinds, revoked 157 driving licenses, and deducted 494 driving licenses. Traffic police have focused on handling violations that are the main causes of traffic accidents.
