On February 19, Long An Provincial Police announced that the Investigation Police Agency of Can Giuoc District Police had issued a decision to temporarily detain Tran Ngoc Thom (29 years old, residing in An Loc Ward, Hong Ngu City, Dong Thap Province) and Bui Thanh Thuy (26 years old, residing in Tan Tao Ward, Binh Tan District, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the act of illegal drug trafficking.
Previously, at 9:30 p.m. on February 8, while patrolling Nguyen Thai Binh Street, Can Giuoc Town, the police discovered Thom driving a motorbike carrying Thuy with suspicious signs. During the inspection, the police discovered that Thom had 34.6756 grams of Methamphetamine and Thuy had 32.9701 grams of Methamphetamine.
At the police station, Thom and Thuy confessed that the above drugs were used to sell to addicts for illegal profits.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Can Giuoc District Police continues to investigate, clarify and handle according to the provisions of law.
