On June 14, the Nha Trang Bay Management Board coordinated with Novotel Nha Trang Hotel to organize activities in response to World Oceans Day and Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2026.

Nearly 20 hotel managers and staff participated in releasing more than 1,500 pomfret and dolphin fish in the Dam Bay and Hon Mun areas - sea areas that still preserve many unique ecological values of Nha Trang Bay.
The activity aims to contribute to regenerating aquatic resources, restoring biodiversity and raising community awareness about marine environmental protection.
According to the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, pomfret fish play an important role in the natural food chain, contributing to maintaining ecological balance and stabilizing the water environment. Meanwhile, clownfish have a symbiotic relationship with sea cucumbers, contributing to protecting coral reefs and increasing marine biodiversity.

Previously, in 2025, the unit participated in planting more than 1,000 mangrove trees in the Dam Bay area to restore the mangrove ecosystem.
Immediately after the fish release activity, volunteers collected plastic waste in the Hon Mun area. The program aims to spread the message of protecting the marine environment, encouraging tourists to join hands to preserve the blue, clean, and beautiful seascape from the shore to the heart of the ocean.


Ms. Truong Ngoc Thuy Anh - General Manager of Novotel Nha Trang said that in recent years, the unit has maintained many environmental protection activities such as planting trees, collecting waste and regenerating aquatic resources. Through these activities, businesses not only want to bring sustainable tourism experiences to tourists but also contribute to spreading the responsibility of nature protection to the community.
According to the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, in response to World Oceans Day with the theme "Solid marine protected areas for our green planet" and Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2026 with the theme "Promoting sustainable marine economic development: from institutions to action", the unit has launched the campaign "Together we do wonderful things".
Through the campaign, the Nha Trang Bay Management Board has coordinated with SUP diving and rowing clubs to remove about 500kg of trap nets stuck on coral reefs.
Coordinating with universities and tourism businesses to collect more than 1.5 tons of garbage at Hon Mun strictly protected area;
At the same time, planting 0.2ha of mangrove forest, releasing more than 15,000 seedlings of all kinds to regenerate aquatic resources in Dam Bay and Hon Mun.
In addition, more than 15 propaganda campaigns to protect coral reefs in the Hon Chong - Dang Tat area have also been organized, attracting the attention of people and tourists.
