On May 14, the Criminal Police Department, Ninh Binh Provincial Police received 5 Vietnamese citizens returning from Myanmar after being deported by the host country. Through initial verification, the victims were all tricked into going to Thailand with the promise of light work and high salaries, then illegally taken to the "golden triangle" (M Myanmar) and were controlled and forced to participate in transnational fraud rings.
Ninh Binh Provincial Police are continuing to investigate and trace networks for illegal exit, forced labor and fraud to strictly handle according to the provisions of law.
The authorities recommend that people need to be extremely vigilant against non-transparent offers to work abroad. At the same time, do not provide personal information, bank accounts, OTP codes via phone, even to people claiming to be police officers, prosecutors, banks, etc.
