Man found in acacia garden after more than 2 days of getting lost in Da Nang

Da Nang - A man lost contact for more than 2 days, was found by functional forces in an acacia field, more than 4km from his house, in a very weak health condition.

On September 2nd, the Military Command of Tra Leng commune, Da Nang city mobilized forces to search for Mr. Do Van Viet, residing in Ong Luc hamlet, Tak Xoai village, Tra Leng commune, after his family reported that he left home at about 4 pm on August 31st but had not returned.

According to the family, Mr. Viet has a history of epilepsy. Before going missing, he was said to have gone into the forest area behind his house to set traps for animals. When the expected time was over, he still had not returned, and relatives organized a search but without results.

The Military Command of Tra Leng commune then mobilized officers and militia soldiers to coordinate with local people to survey trails, streams, forest areas and locations suspected of being passed by Mr. Viet.

After about 3 hours of searching, the force discovered Mr. Viet at an acacia field, more than 4km from his house. At the time of being found, he was in very weak health.

Functional forces quickly took Mr. Viet back to his family, and at the same time contacted local medical staff for first aid and health care.
