At the conference, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tung - Head of the Internal Political Security Department of Vinh Long Provincial Police - presented a summary report on the results of coordination over the past 5 years in ensuring political security and social order and safety at educational institutions.
According to the report, the Provincial Police and schools have built a close coordination mechanism, maintained regular information exchange, promptly detected and handled arising problems, contributing to maintaining the stability of the school environment.
Propaganda and dissemination of laws are identified as key tasks, deployed synchronously and appropriately for each target group of officials, lecturers, and students, contributing to raising awareness and law compliance awareness in schools.
In 5 years, units have organized 729 propaganda sessions on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, attracting about 375,000 participants.
Cuu Long University alone is a prominent unit, organizing 125 propaganda sessions with 315,192 turns of officials, lecturers, and students participating, focusing on fighting and refuting wrong and hostile views in cyberspace.
The propaganda content emphasizes not sharing false information, not disseminating news, articles, images, or video clips against the Party and the State, inciting protests, dividing ethnicities, religions, or infringing upon personal privacy.
In the discussion section, representatives of schools and professional departments of the Provincial Police contributed many practical opinions to improve the efficiency of student and international student management and ensure security and order in the new situation.
The conference signed a coordination plan for the next phase, and at the same time commended typical collectives and individuals; the parties affirmed to continue to maintain close coordination and build a safe and healthy educational environment.
