The art exhibition of artists Gwangyang (Korea) and Hoi An (Vietnam) took place at 106 Bach Dang, Hoi An. This event was held under the unity of the Gwangyang city government and the People's Committee of Hoi An City, organized by Gwangyang Cultural Center in collaboration with the Center for Culture - Sports and Radio - Television of Hoi An. The works revolve around the theme of nature, culture and people of Korea.
Gwangyang is a typical industrial and economic city of Korea, home to the largest international commercial port in the country and the largest single-steel smelting factory in the world. This place is also rich in traditional cultural and artistic resources, handicrafts and fine arts. Hoi An, on the other hand, is an ecological, cultural, tourism and creative city of Vietnam, once a famous international trading port with rich natural environment and unique folk cultural values.
With many similarities, the two cities are building a cooperative relationship. This exhibition is part of the "Artist's holiday" project, creating conditions for Korean artists to introduce their works in Hoi An, while experiencing, creating and interacting with local artists. Works about Hoi An composed during this time will be exhibited in Korea.
The exhibition not only introduces Korean art but is also an opportunity to explore artistic values, affirming Hoi An as a land of cultural exchange and a "Creative House" for artists to seek inspiration. The event contributes to enhancing understanding and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea.
