On January 14, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that in 2024, implementing the Resolution and Public Security Work Plan of the Party Committee and the Director of the Provincial Police, the Criminal Police Department has proactively and synchronously deployed professional measures, done a good job of grasping the situation, promptly advised the Director and Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency on many important plans and solutions, contributing to identifying, preventing, and effectively fighting and suppressing criminal offenses.
The rate of investigation and discovery of cases reached 82.5%; very serious and especially serious cases reached 100%; the investigation, clarification and handling of many cases and criminals using high technology, related to "black credit" were highly appreciated by the authorities and the masses.
According to Colonel Duong Van Tien - Deputy Director, Head of the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, the results and achievements of the Criminal Police Department in 2024 have contributed significantly to the Thanh Hoa Police force in controlling and reducing the rate of social order crimes to the lowest level ever (25.5%), in which some types of prominent crimes, accounting for a high proportion in the crime structure, such as: intentional injury decreased by 34%, murder decreased by 45.8%, property theft decreased by 36.4%, fraud and appropriation of property decreased by 38.3%...
Also according to the Deputy Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, during the Lunar New Year, the Criminal Police Department needs to focus on seriously, effectively and resolutely implementing the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime, ensuring security, order and absolute safety for the Lunar New Year 2025 so that people can enjoy the Spring Festival and celebrate the New Year in safety and health.
