At about 1:00 p.m. on May 18, at the intersection between Provincial Road 393 and the North-South axis road of Thanh Mien district (Hai Duong province), a serious traffic accident occurred, causing a man to die on the spot.
The victim was Mr. Vu Duy Q (born in 1964, residing in Doan Tung commune, Thanh Mien district, Hai Duong province). At the time of the accident, Mr. Q was driving a motorbike with license plate 34M1 - 53xx, traveling on Provincial Road 393. When arriving at the intersection with the North-South axis road, Mr. Q's car collided with a car with license plate 29H - 516.xx driven by Mr. Hoang Duy P (born in 1991, in My Duc district, Hanoi).
The strong collision caused Mr. Q to die at the scene. According to images taken from the security camera of the area, at the time of the accident, Mr. Q had run a red light.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Doan Tung Commune (Thanh Mien District, Hai Duong Province) said that Mr. Q belongs to a family with difficult circumstances, who had an accident while on the way back to his hometown.
The case is currently being further investigated and clarified by the authorities.
