According to Vung Tau Ward Police (HCMC), the unit has just coordinated with the Southern Saigon Traffic Police Team (Traffic Police Department of HCMC Police) to verify and handle 2 teenagers who had acts of not wearing helmets, driving electric motorbikes swerving and zigzagging in the area.
Previously, images of 2 teenagers without helmets, driving a black electric motorbike with license plate 60AC-979. xx swerving and zigzagging on Quang Trung street (Bai Truoc area, Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City) were posted on some social networking sites. The above images have angered many people and pose a potential risk of traffic unsafety.
Grasping the information, Vung Tau Ward Police coordinated with the Southern Saigon Traffic Police Team to quickly verify, thereby inviting N.Q. T (born in 2010, residing in Khanh Hoa province) who was driving the electric motorbike; and D. G. H (born in 2010, residing in Dong Thap province) who was sitting behind to work.
Through verification, functional agencies determined that N.Q. T. had the following violations: driving swerving and zigzagging on the road; not carrying a Vehicle Registration Certificate; the vehicle has no left rearview mirror; not wearing a helmet; carrying passengers behind without wearing a helmet. Notably, N.Q. T. is not yet 16 years old but still drives an electric motorbike participating in traffic.
Therefore, the Southern Saigon Traffic Police Team made a record of administrative violation against 2 teenagers and related persons for handling in accordance with the law.
Vung Tau Ward Police also requested parents to strengthen management and education of their children, absolutely not to hand over vehicles to people who are not qualified to drive. At the same time, mobilize people to strictly comply with the provisions of law on traffic order and safety, contributing to building a safe and civilized traffic environment.
