According to information from Hanoi City Police, at about 9:40 p.m. on June 12, 2025, while performing the task of patrolling, controlling and handling violations of alcohol concentration on Nguyen Trai - Nguyen Xien route (in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi), the working group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 7, Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police, led by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Duc Son, discovered a young man driving a Honda SH Mode motorbike without a license plate, not wearing a helmet and showing suspicious signs.
When the authorities signaled to stop the vehicle for inspection, this person suddenly left the vehicle and ran in the opposite direction to avoid it.
Realizing unusual signs, the working group immediately deployed a team to chase, control and bring the subject back to the checkpoint.
During the inspection, the authorities discovered a plastic bag containing white powder, suspected to be drugs, in this person's left pants pocket. In front of the police, the subject admitted that the powder was drugs and bought it for use.
The working group made a record, sealed the exhibits and handed over the person and the exhibits to Thanh Xuan Trung Ward Police for further investigation and clarification. The results of the examination determined that the powder in the plastic bag was propaganda drugs, weighing nearly 2 grams.
The case is currently being investigated and handled by Thanh Xuan Trung Ward Police in coordination with the law.
