The series of songs was composed by musician Nguyen Thanh Trung to celebrate the success of the 14th Party Congress, celebrating the country's Spring - Binh Ngo Spring 2026, the 96th Spring since our Party was founded (February 3, 1930). These are not just individual compositions but a complete art form with a xuyên suốt ideological structure, depicting the nation's journey from the depth of indigenous culture to the aspiration to reach out in space.
Musician Nguyen Thanh Trung shared that in the history of modern Vietnamese music, songs about the country often appear as independent statements, associated with political circumstances or the mindset of the times. For musician Nguyen Thanh Trung, the "treasure" of 6 songs about the glorious Party, Fatherland, homeland in nearly 100 works he composed over the years with the aspiration to form the ideological - musical process, in which the country is built through many layers of symbols, many emotional states and many corresponding musical structures.
The series of 6 songs opens with "Toi di" (performed by singer Le Anh Dung), a ballad work with a clear introspective and inner feeling. With "Dat nuoc yeu nguoi" (People's Artist Quoc Hung), a song with a clear community spirit, combining lyrical quality and modern march.
The song "Dat oi bo hoa" (Oh Land Blooms) (Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung) delves into the roots of a deeply lyrical folk culture. As for "Dat nuoc van minh" (Country Rises) (Meritorious Artist Dang Duong) - a contemporary propaganda song, using a powerful 4/4 rhythm to create melodies and lyrics that shape the country as a moving, burning entity and heading towards outer space.
Xin rạng ngời" (People's Artist Quoc Hung) is a community lyrical song created on a soft 6/8 rhythm, combining agricultural images, motherhood symbols and light aesthetics to create a secular prayer structure.
The highlight of musician Nguyen Thanh Trung's new song series is the musical epic "Country Today" - a multi-movement, multi-rhythm, multi-voice work. If previous songs were pieces, then the work "Country Today" (longer than 8 minutes) is a complete spiritual map. The country is placed in the length of time, not just in the present moment.
The work is performed in the combination of NSND Quoc Hung (deep male voice) and singer Thu Hang (pure, delicate high female voice), along with the companionship of the Vietnam National Academy of Music Orchestra. The combination of academic vocal technique and modern symphonic harmony has created a majestic musical picture, touching the emotions of all classes of audiences.
