The film is inspired by the famous original by writer To Hoai, but is given a modern message through new and creative expression. The image of De Men - which has become a symbol of the childhood of many generations of Vietnamese people - has now been renewed to reflect contemporary issues such as environmental protection, friendship, sharing and the spirit of overcoming difficulties.
Not only stopping at beautiful images and techniques, the film is also depicted with many Vietnamese cultural settings: Many famous landmarks of Hanoi such as Le Nin Park, Co Co, Long Bien Bridge are used as settings, combined with traditional cultural elements such as ao dai, scarves, colorful cloud motifs...

Music also became a special highlight of the film when combining modern music and folk materials, bringing a fresh and close atmosphere to young audiences.
The entire film production process - from character creation, set-piece, acting, sound - is done using modern digital technology.
The dubbing in De Men: The adventure to Lam Loi hamlet is an important highlight, contributing to the success of the film. The voice-over artists also brought extremely interesting stories with charming talents such as Tran Hoang Son, Thai Van Minh Vu; the participation of young artists such as Le Bong, ALI Thuc Phuong.
