On June 3, Kien Giang Provincial Police held an awards ceremony for collectives with outstanding achievements in crime prevention and control.
At the ceremony, Colonel Diep Van The - Deputy Director of Kien Giang Provincial Police Department commended and awarded collectives with outstanding achievements in the fight against crime in recent times.
3 units including: Criminal Police Department, Drug Crime Investigation Police Department and Ha Tien International Border Gate Exit and Investment Control Police Station (under the Immigration Department) were rewarded, each unit received 5 million VND. Minh Thuan Commune Police, U Minh Thuong District was rewarded with 3 million VND.
The above units have achieved many outstanding feats such as: The Criminal Police Department coordinated with Minh Thuan Commune Police to patrol and arrest 2 subjects who committed 5 robberies. Next, the unit urgently investigated, arrested and prosecuted the subject who caused the murder case that occurred on April 29, 2025 in Tan Thanh Hamlet, Giuc Tuong Commune, Chau Thanh District. Discovering and catching 27 subjects gambling in Vinh Hoa 1 Hamlet, Vinh Hoa Phu Commune, Chau Thanh District, seizing nearly 48 million VND and many related exhibits.
The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department caught a subject red-handed illegally transporting 1kg of drugs in Vinh Thanh Ward, Rach Gia City. The Ha Tien International Border Gate Control and Exit Control Police Station directly arrested a wanted subject who was particularly dangerous for the crime of "Murder", according to the Wanted Decision of the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province.
