On April 4, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security initiated a criminal case for the crimes of "Violating regulations on research, exploration and exploitation of resources" and "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" occurring at Thien An Phat Mineral Joint Stock Company. At the same time, defendants Nguyen Xuan Tung (Director), Nguyen Gia Hai, Ha Thi Nga and Nguyen Thi Cuc (shareholder) were temporarily detained to investigate the above violations. Reversal
On the same day, April 4, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Province Police prosecuted the accused and applied measures prohibiting them from leaving their place of residence against Trinh Ngoc Cuong (born in 1973, residing in Ngoc Phung Commune) and Vi Hong Sao (born in 1986, residing in Yen Nhan Commune) for illegal sand mining. These two subjects illegally exploited 1,122 m3 of sand in the area of Hoa stream and Khong stream in Hoa village, Yen Nhan commune, to sell to the construction unit, illegally profiting more than 320 million VND. From the beginning of March 2025 to now, the authorities have arrested and handled 4 cases related to 28 illegal mineral exploitation subjects; seized 6 sand dredgers, 5 excavators and many other exhibits.
These moves demonstrate the determination of the authorities of Thanh Hoa province in preventing and strictly handling violations of the law related to mineral exploitation in the area.
Regarding this incident, Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee affirmed that he will strongly direct the fight against illegal mineral exploitation.
