On July 4, at Song Loc Commune People's Committee, the Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Federation of the commune coordinated with the Culture Department and the Commune Association for Promoting Education to organize the 2026 summer activity program, combined with propaganda on preventing and combating drowning, injuries and child abuse.
Attending the program were Mr. Tran Van Boi - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial Association for Promoting Education; Ms. Lam Thi Thanh Nhanh - Vice Chairman of Song Loc Commune People's Committee; representatives of Vinh Long charity group and leaders of departments, agencies, unions and more than 100 union members, youth, and children.
At the program, children were disseminated knowledge and skills on drowning prevention, injury prevention, and child abuse prevention. Many collective games and experiential activities were also organized, creating a useful and safe playground during the summer.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to 70 children in difficult circumstances in the commune. Each gift is worth 400,000 VND, with a total budget of 28 million VND supported by philanthropists.
The program is an activity in response to the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, contributing to equipping children with self-protection skills, and at the same time spreading the spirit of sharing and caring for children in difficult circumstances in the area.
