On April 5, Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) said that power units in 21 southern provinces and cities will not stop or reduce power supply during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day (from 0:00 on April 5 to 24:00 on April 7) and the April 30 - 1.5 holiday (from 0:00 on April 30 to 24:00 on April 4), except in case of handling incidents.
Currently, EVNSPC and its member units have prepared plans to ensure safe and stable power supply; strengthen operational discipline to ensure security, fire safety and fighting during holidays and serve local political, cultural and social events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and International Labor Day.
EVNSPC and its member units organize leadership, operation and repair duties, ensure the operation of the SCADA system, ensure a stable computer network and communication system, continuously 24/24 hours during holidays.

The Corporation requires power companies to inspect and strengthen the power grid to ensure safe, continuous and reliable power supply for electricity customers, locations where political, cultural and artistic activities take place during the holidays, paying attention to ensuring electricity for factories and enterprises producing clean water and irrigation against drought and salinity.
EVNSPC pays special attention to the task of ensuring electricity for important locations in the area of power management and supply such as: headquarters of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, national defense and security, leadership agencies in provinces/cities, radio and television agencies in the central and local levels, hospitals, and clean water production facilities.
Prepare adequate materials, equipment, communication systems and means of transportation, be ready to quickly handle arising incidents. Coordinate with local authorities, police, and military levels to develop and deploy plans to protect security, order, safety, and fire prevention for power plants, agency headquarters, warehouses, camps, etc.
In recent times, Power Companies in 21 southern provinces and cities have also actively coordinated with local authorities and mass media agencies to organize propaganda and widely disseminate measures to use safe and economical electricity to electricity customers; propagate to prevent and strictly handle cases of fireworks, releasing storks and throwing objects onto power lines, violating the safety corridor of the power grid...
