On the afternoon of November 8, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City in collaboration with the Vietnam Musicians Association, the Department of Culture and Sports and the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum opened an art exhibition with the theme "Phan Huynh Dieu - The Bird Returns".
The exhibition introduces 15 paintings, 8 sketches, 1 sculpture and 53 photographs, recreating everyday moments of the working life and musical creativity that is always full of energy in musician Phan Huynh Dieu - an outstanding son of his hometown Quang Nam - Da Nang.
The exhibition is not only a deep gratitude to the talented artist Phan Huynh Dieu but also an opportunity for the public to honor his lifelong contributions to the country's music industry.
Present at the exhibition opening, musician Phan Hong Ha - son of the late musician Phan Huynh Dieu - was moved to share: "No matter where he is, musician Phan Huynh Dieu always thinks about humanity, thinks about love and it is all expressed in the musical works he left for the world."
Musician Phan Huynh Dieu is a giant of revolutionary music, a musical soul that has left a deep mark on the hearts of Vietnamese people.
His works, like colorful sound paintings, have painted a vivid portrait of the country and people of Vietnam through the ups and downs of history. Each melody, each lyric contains a part of his soul, a deep love for his homeland, country and people.
With his innate talent and endless creativity, musician Phan Huynh Dieu has elevated folk melodies, folk songs, and familiar lullabies into immortal musical masterpieces. He was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Arts by the State in 2000.
