On April 28, Hue Central Hospital held an inauguration ceremony and put into operation the 3.0 Tesla - SIGNA Pioneer magnetic resonance system, marking a step forward in investing in high-tech medical equipment, improving the quality of medical examination and treatment.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep - Director of Hue Central Hospital said that the commissioning of the 3.0 Tesla magnetic resonance system helps improve early and accurate diagnosis capacity, while effectively supporting the treatment process, especially in complex cases. This is also a platform for training, scientific research and international cooperation in the field of diagnostic imaging.
The SIGNA Pioneer 3.0 Tesla system is a new generation full-body magnetic resonance machine, manufactured in 2025 in the United States, integrating many modern technologies, allowing high-quality image capture, shortening survey time.
The device can be widely applied in the diagnosis of neurological, cardiovascular, cancer, obstetrics, musculoskeletal diseases... and also meet in-depth requirements such as cancer screening, stroke diagnosis, prostate disease assessment, breast cancer.
Putting the system into operation contributes to helping people access modern medical services right in their localities, reducing referrals, and saving treatment costs.
