The Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City is organizing the program "Da Nang Product Promotion Day - 2024" lasting from December 13 to 15. The highlight this time is that the unit invited TikTok Shop to organize a livestream program on the TikTok platform jointly implemented by content creators and participating businesses.
There have been 2 livestream sales sessions on this social networking platform, creating a huge difference compared to previous years' programs.
Mr. Vo Van Khanh - Chief Representative of the E-commerce Association in the Central Highlands - shared that the program hopes to help businesses access and apply livestreaming to promote and consume products, increase market access, aim for sustainable development, and adapt to current e-commerce trends.
“Local businesses are mostly households, small and medium enterprises, so their resources are very limited, from human resources to finance. Meanwhile, online sales solutions will help solve this problem. Through livestream sales, businesses can both promote their strengths as local products with certification and find more markets and customers,” said Mr. Khanh.
Attending the festival, Ms. Ho Thi Thuy Tram - a business household with Minkai fresh sausage products that have achieved 4-star OCOP certification (Hai Chau district) - said that recently, Ms. Tram has also tried selling products on e-commerce platforms. However, because the products are frozen and there are no agents in many localities, transporting goods is still difficult.
“However, through these programs, I hope to receive advice and guidance on how to make short clips to start promoting products right now. Once I have a plan to distribute the products, I can sell them right away, because selling through social networks is now an inevitable trend,” Ms. Tram shared.
Not only with businesses and OCOP products, Da Nang City also promotes products at night markets, Bach Dang walking street... to promote destinations.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the unit has just organized a program to share community tourism expertise for nearly 50 people and workers participating in serving the night-time economy in Son Tra and Hai Chau districts.
TikTok representative in Vietnam shared how to promote products, sell on social networks like TikTok, how to sell effectively and specific examples of effective sales through social networks... for small businesses.
Mr. Huynh Khang - TikTok representative in Vietnam - said that selling on social networks like TikTok is growing strongly. This is not only an information and entertainment channel for young people, but also a sales channel for sellers and business owners. Through images and short clips, sellers can introduce products, store images as well as local night markets and Bach Dang walking street in Da Nang city to more people.
“If a night market can welcome a few hundred to a few thousand people every night, a short clip on social media can attract a few million viewers. When choosing tourist destinations, tourists can learn more about Da Nang tourism products and choose to go to the night market as an experience not to be missed,” Mr. Khang shared.
