This is the latest information released by members of the Shinawatra powerful family since Yingluck fled Thailand.
Previously, according to AFP news agency, Yingluck Shinawatra's disappearance before the trial not only surprised thousands of supporters but also reportedly surprised members of the Shinawatra family such as her brother and sister waiting for her in court.
Regarding the developments related to the incident, according to Bangkok Post, Thai Prime Minister prayut Chan-o-cha on August 28 confirmed that the government will revoke the Thai passport of former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
This is a normal procedure. Legal aspects will be considered to determine the next step," said General Prayut Chan-o-cha.
The Thai Prime Minister said the investigation will focus on clarifying Yingluck Shinawatra's escape method. He also denied accusations that the government intentionally let the former Thai prime minister escape.
Information from Thai media said that the former Prime Minister and his 15-year-old son fled Thailand on August 23 and are currently living with his brother Thaksin Shinawatra in Dubai. There is also speculation that Yingluck will seek asylum in England.
The wanted notice for former Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra was issued by the Supreme Court of the country on August 25. The court postponed the verdict on September 27 and confiscated a 30 million baht guarantee from Yingluck Shinawatra.
