RT reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense released a series of videos of Russian attack drones and helicopters targeting Ukrainian tanks, military vehicles and armored vehicles participating in the attack in Kursk province.
Thousands of Ukrainian troops crossed the Russian border earlier this month - a move Moscow described as a terrorist act. Russia responded with fierce airstrikes and shelling against the enemy.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces damaged more than 330 servicemen and 27 equipment during the day, including four tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, three armored transport vehicles, 19 armored vehicles, eight vehicles, two artillery pieces and three mortars," the Russian military said in a statement on August 19.
Video released by the Russian Defense Ministry shows Ukrainian forces continue to be destroyed in Kursk province.
The first 20-second clip shows a tank being transported on a truck being spotted by a reconnaissance drone and destroyed by a Lancet UAV.
Another video, also 20 seconds long, shows a Ukrainian armored vehicle carrying troops on the highway. The Lancet attack burned the vehicle, while Ukrainian infantrymen were frightened and fled.
According to the third video of the day, the Mi-28 attack helicopter (Havoc named after NATO) took off to fire missiles at both the armed unit and the Ukrainian army.
The Russian military said the helicopters used the 9K121 Vikhr guided missile (Whirlwind; NATO's name is AT-16 Scallion) to successfully carry out their missions.
Russian airstrikes and missiles have targeted Ukrainian troops both inside Kursk Oblast and behind it - in Ukraine's Sumy Oblast.
Moscow said that components of the 22, 61 and 115 Mechanized Brigades; the 80 and 82 attack Brigades; and the 103 and 129 territorial Defense Brigades of Ukraine participated in the attack.
